DUSU Elections 2017 analysis of dirty tricks played by NSUI. What went wrong for BJP and what it should learn now.
It seems that dirty politics made its way in DUSU elections! Corrupt practices used by the NSUI and united opposition against ABVP. This is something very similar to what Left did in JNUSU elections, NSUI did in DU.
The result of this unfair un ethical practice is that President and Vice President positions won by NSUI
Secretary and Joint Secretary by ABVP.
What really happened in DU election.
1. A dummy panel contested with the same name as ABVP- Akhil Bhartiya VIDYA Parishad (ABVP) -Both ABVP
2. Then a dummy President candidate : Rajay Chaudhary of ABVP (Real) Vs. Raja Chaudhary of ABVP (Dummy)
3. Day before elections pamphlets of ABVP distributed with wrong ballot numbers allegedly by NSUI. instead of 8-5-3-4, the wrong pamphlets had 7-5-3-4 and in place of Rajat Chaudhary, it had the photo and name of Raja Chaudhary.
The result is that the dummy Raja Chaudhary got more than 4000 votes in the name of AVBP. This lead to the win of NSUI non deserving candidate.
Such practices while are unfair and u ethical, at the same time totally illegal. It is sad to see that competent election authorities couldn't find and stop such practices. A through investigation and punishment to the culprits is required in this matter and the results should be re-examined.

#ABVP is the largest student organization in terms of vote share. Mahamedha Nagar (Secretary) & Umashankar (Joint Secretary) win for ABVP while other two seats are won by NSUI.
Having said that, ABVP and BJP must analyse their failure after DUSU election results. This is the second set back for BJP after the loss of Bawana results. , It's important that BJP must introspect and don't brush off every accusation and be ignorant.
BJP now need to focus on ground reality. It is seen that social media is very strong of BJP which is big advantage, but also it's sometimes masking genuine concerns.
Students and universities have always been the left and congress targets. They know attracting students is the best way forward. BJP need to change the approach strategy. BJP need to be less reactive, less arrogant, no abuse and mocking etc. Sometimes it gives unnecessary and undue publicity to the opposition, who always try to provocate RW over various non existing unimportant matters. Sadly they fall prey in the strategy of such politics. It's important that BJP must response only on facts.
BJP should focus on their strength and must spread their good work, sometimes masked in Non issues.
